FAQs

What does Creative Conscious Solutions (CCS) do?

We provide marketing help to businesses that don’t have the time, expertise or know-how to keep pace in the marketing jungle.

Why was CCS formed?
To help businesses and business owners market their business so they can get back to doing what they love and are good at doing.

What is marketing?

Marketing is telling a story in an interesting and engaging way.  Our stories are important and we need to tell them, not only for ourselves and our own direction but for our business and it’s direction.

Why did you start CCS?

I enjoy the story and want to help bring it into the light.  I want to know how and why something came to be.  I want to know why businesses and people do what they do, there’s always a story behind it.  We all have a story - extracting that story, finding the right medium in which to communicate it and then reaching the people who will most appreciate that story is what I enjoy.  I like the challenge of distilling the story and then helping to bring it forth in a powerful, positive and productive way.  I could have probably been a detective or private eye but I don’t like the hours or bad coffee.

What makes you such a smarty-pants marketer?

Over the past 20 years, I have worked for a variety of companies, mostly smaller, entrepreneurial ventures where I was able (aka had) to wear a lot of hats.  What I greatly appreciated and enjoyed was the autonomy of thinking that existed - the ability to come up with ideas and then put them into motion.  Once the idea was birthed, it was time for a plan.  I enjoyed the genesis of the creative process, watching the seed be planted and then figuring out what kind of soil it needs, how much water it needs, how much sunlight.  Thankfully, I am able to recognize my strength at nurturing ideas rather than actual houseplants, a sad fact to which my plant-free home would sadly attest.

How do you work?

I have to work with people and products or services I can believe in.  I need to be able to see the value in the product or people.  The inner detective emerges and I start asking questions, somewhat reminiscent of a 4-year old, “why? why? why?” but in a less annoying and more fruitful manner.  We determine together what our story is, what do we want to say and why is it important for people to know.  Then we determine how that needs to look.  What appeals to us? What feels like us? What best represents us?  Then, we determine what the best way is to reach those who would benefit most from hearing our story.

Who’s this “us” you are referring to?

I say “us” here because this is a collaborative process.  I take great pride in the work I do and consider myself a part of your team.  My relationship doesn’t end with you once the work does.  My associative mind keeps you neatly filed in my memory banks for future opportunities or partnerships that might arise.  Our continued mutual success is my goal.

What’s the next step to seeing if we can work together?

Call me or email me and let’s craft a story together that will end happily ever-after.
